Hands Off! Indivisible Knoxville Fights Back
They’re taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them.
💸But the services and jobs they’re slashing aren’t theirs—they’re ours. Our communities are paying the price while the Trumps and Musks of the world cash in. It’s not just about money—it’s about power.
This administration is targeting everybody who isn’t part of the 1%—veterans, kids, seniors, farmers, immigrants, transgender people, and political opponents. All to consolidate power and reward their allies. ✋The lawlessness, cruelty, and corruption has gone too far.
This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.
Knoxville is fighting back!
🚨 On Saturday, April 5th, we’re taking to the streets to fight back with a clear message: Hands off! 🚨
📍 Where: The intersection of Henley St, Western Ave, and Summit Hill
📅 When: 2:00pm April 5, 2025
How to prepare
📢 How to Prepare for Your Event: We will start out at the intersection above the L&N and spread to all four corners of the highway for increased visibility with our signs. ✅ Bring signs or props → Make your message visible! (Ideas: “HANDS OFF MEDICAID!,” “HANDS OFF OUR DATA!”, “HANDS OFF DEMOCRACY!”, “HANDS OFF SCHOOLS!”) ✅ Recruit friends → The more people, the more power. ✅ Record everything → Post photos/videos with #HandsOff
🚨 We’re fighting for democracy. Let’s make them listen.

I’m not able to be at the Apr 5th event downtown. Is there another location that day, i.e. West Town Mall along Kingston Pike? I want to be a part of the day, but within my abilities. I suspect I’m not the only one that needs an alternative location. Thank you for all you do.
We are not, unfortunately, aware of alternative events on this day. We will be holding future events in other places, so be sure you are signed up for emails and following our event calendar.
Can we park at STEM academy?
Those with mobility issues should plan on coming early to assure parking in the Locust Street garage or one of the street metered spots.
If you are local, consider taking public transportation or ride with a friend.
Able bodied attendees should park further away – the Blackstock parking lot or the 11th Street Garage are going to be the best options.
You can also use the Parkopedia app to find the closest available parking.
