Tell City Council To Hold ICE Accountable
ICE is getting ready to intensify actions here in Knoxville, and we want our City Council to know that we will not condone here what happened in Nashville two weeks ago.
Some of our officials might be tempted to say, ”Our constituents don’t care about this.”
We beg to differ!
Our City Council needs to know that our community stands behind our immigrant neighbors, and we want to embolden them to hold ICE accountable.
And that’s where WE come in.
On June 10th @6pm, Indivisible is going to do what Indivisible does – SHOW UP!
We elected City Council and we need them to do the right thing.
The largest ‘signs’ we can bring is standard 8.5 x 11 paper, and no sticks or handles. But bring colorful and highly viewable shows of support! Let the City Council know Knoxville LOVES THEIR IMMIGRANT NEIGHBORS and does NOT support the flagrant abuse we have seen by ICE in so many other cities thus far.

We would love to have so many of us show up that we are lined out into the hallway. This is a ‘no ifs ands or buts’ situation. Not in Knoxville!
