Platform
Cost of Living
- Protect seniors through tax relief, healthcare access, and transportation options that let them stay in their homes and communities.
- Improve disability services by fighting for better caregiver pay, shorter waitlists, and accessible infrastructure.
- Ease the childcare and housing pressures on working families who are doing everything right but still struggling to keep up.
- Be a hands-on advocate who helps constituents navigate state systems so government works for people, not against them.
Strong Public schools
- Oppose voucher programs that pull public dollars out of public classrooms with no accountability to taxpayers.
- Fully fund public schools so teachers have what they need and students aren’t left behind.
- Pay teachers like the professionals they are.
- Ensure every child, regardless of zip code, background, or ability, has access to the resources they need to succeed.
Roads
- Fix what’s broken first. Maintenance deferred is money wasted.
- Target the real bottlenecks. I’ll push TDOT’s corridor improvements forward and make sure West Knox isn’t an afterthought in regional planning.
- Push for quick wins like improved signage on Alcoa Highway and congestion relief on Northshore, Pellissippi Parkway, and I-40 that help drivers and local businesses today while larger projects move through the pipeline.
- Listen to the community. I’ll show up for the planning conversations and make sure HD-14 voices are heard.
- Support practical transit options that reduce traffic and give families flexibility. In West Knox and Farragut, that starts with smart, low-cost solutions: park-and-ride commuter routes, senior and medical shuttles, and partnerships with employers and healthcare providers so people can get to work and appointments without adding more cars to Kingston Pike and I-40. Any expansion should be phased in with pilot programs and clear performance goals so taxpayers know their investment is being used.
Responsible Growth
- Repeal the 2006 impact fee ban so local governments can require developers to contribute to the infrastructure their projects demand.
- Require that growth planning includes roads, schools, and services before shovels go in the ground, not after residents are already stuck in traffic.
- Push back on unchecked commercial development that strains public infrastructure while private profits flow out of our community.
- Hold developers accountable to the communities they build in, not just the bottom line.
Environment and Climate
- Solar & Wind
- Storm Water Infrastructure
- Affordable Health Care
- Medicaid Expansion
- Protect Rural Hospitals
- Ensure that healthcare decisions stay between patients and their doctors.
- Drug Price Transparency
Immigration
- Oppose using Tennessee as a model or staging ground for Stephen Miller’s national immigration agenda.
- Push back on ICE facility expansion in West Knoxville and Hardin Valley.
- Vote against unconstitutional legislation that targets students, families, and local governments.
- Hold my colleagues accountable when they use immigration as a distraction from failing to deliver on the issues that actually matter to families in District 14.
