In Pennsylvania, Bucks County Sheriff Danny Ceisler announced that he is ending his office’s partnership with ICE.

Ceisler explained that a “leader in the Latino community” told him “not a single member of their community had called 911 or felt comfortable reporting a crime since this partnership became public.” He added: “They feared that local law enforcement responding to a crime they reported would take them too.”

Ceisler said the facts don’t lie: “Good, law-abiding residents” are being “detained and deported by the Trump administration.” “Those immigrants are our neighbors. They are our friends. They are taxpayers … and they deserve the protection of law enforcement in this community.”

A recently reported shift among Gen Z voters is absolutely devastating for Trump. According to the numbers, Trump’s net approval rating has gone down a jaw-dropping 42 points among voters under the age of 30.

We can safely assume the actual figure is even worse, given the poll was conducted by the regime’s new favorite network—CBS News.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom isn’t bending to Republican demands. After the passing of GOP Rep. Doug LaMalfa, Newsom set the special election for the latest date legally permissible, stretching the vacancy as long as possible.

The decision infuriated Speaker Mike Johnson, who is now down a critical vote—one he will only get back if Republicans actually manage to hold the seat.

While Republicans feign outrage, the strategy is sound—we can’t save democracy by staying on the defensive—we must go on offense.

Federal Judge Bars ICE Agents From ‘Retaliating’ Against Protesters In Minnesota
The injunction filed Jan. 16 follows a lawsuit brought by six Minnesota residents during the early days of Operation Metro Surge last month.

“Judge Katherine Menendez found that the federal officers’ actions, which included “the drawing and pointing of weapons; the use of pepper spray and other non-lethal munitions; actual and threatened arrest and detainment of protesters and observers; and other intimidation tactics,” had a chilling effect on protesters exercising their First Amendment rights.

The preliminary injunction, which will prohibit the actions while litigation continues, bars officers from retaliating against peaceful protest activity, arresting or detaining people who are participating in peaceful protests, using pepper-spray or other nonlethal munitions on crowds, or stopping or detaining drivers and passengers without good cause.

The court repeatedly made clear that observing Operation Metro Surge – the DHS action in Minneapolis that flooded the area with thousands of Border Patrol and ICE agents – was not cause for retaliation, arrest, or enforcement action.

In Minnesota, an unprecedented number of detained immigrants are challenging their wrongful arrests by ICE, and many of them are winning.

According to reporting by the Minnesota Star Tribune, since Operation Metro Surge began on December 1, 344 immigrants have filed detention challenges in the state, most of them this month as thousands of federal agents arrived. By comparison, only 375 such cases were filed statewide between 2016 and 2024.
