Our goal going into April 5th was to reach out to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed or alone in this moment and reassure them that they are very much NOT alone (while also making a bold statement for our elected officials).

Thanks to the enthusiastic turnout from Indivisibles all across East Tennessee, that is exactly the overwhelming feedback we have received for the past several days.

Saturday, we lined the streets of downtown Knoxville from 11th Street to Walnut, from Glitterville to the Henley Street bridge, and even down part of Cumberland Ave. Estimates are that 4000 Knoxville folks turned out. It was an energizing day filled with hope and community.

The flow of comments since from people who say they now feel so much less alone in Knoxville made it worth every bit of the weeks of grueling work for the planning team make this happen, and our IMPRESSIVE presence sent our message loud and clear to those who represent us in Washington and in Nashville.

The real magic of Indivisible is that we are your neighbors, friends, parents, grandparents, and every day normal folk uniting our voices to protect our country from being LOOTED by billionaires and extremists.

This was the culmination of a lot of hard work, but also the beginning of something much, much bigger.

Thank you so much from the Indivisible Knoxville TEAM to everyone who SHOWED UP to demand this administration take their Hands Off!
