Thank you, thank you to everyone who showed up at tonight’s 2026 Info Meet & Greet.
I genuinely don’t have words to adequately express the overwhelming gratitude and hope I felt seeing such an unexpectedly large, deeply engaged crowd in that room tonight. Your presence mattered. Your input mattered. Your questions mattered. And the way you leaned into the task ahead—listening, imagining—was powerful.
In moments like this, when institutions feel unresponsive and those in power seem determined to ignore the will of the people, it’s easy to feel small. But history tells a different story.
Collaborative Noncooperation is how ordinary people reclaim agency. It’s how communities withdraw consent from systems that rely on our labor, our attention, our money, and our silence. It’s not passive. It’s not despair. It’s disciplined, collective action rooted in care for one another and clarity about our values.
What we’re building together is not just resistance—it’s resilience. Every meeting attended, every conversation had, every choice to stand together instead of standing down weakens what depends on our disengagement.
We are not alone in this. We are part of a community that is awake, organized, and unwilling to comply with injustice.
The road ahead won’t always be easy—but it is shared. And that makes all the difference.
Know this: your courage showed up in that room tonight, and it’s already changing what’s possible.
Tonight was just the beginning. We will work TOGETHER to create the concrete steps forward.
As promised, here is the updated slideshow from tonight’s presentation (with additional info links):

And several people asked about making donations to support the expenses for our ongoing work, actions, and events. You can find our donations page here:

In Good News, we had a donor offer to match up to $10,000 for a billboard tonight (!!!), so we have set up an ActBlue account specifically for Billboard donations:
https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ikbillboard
Once donations are under way, we’ll post a link on our website for members to submit IDEAS for exactly what we should put on the billboard – and this is Knoxville, so I know they will be scrappy, imaginative, and history altering.
With gratitude and determination,
Marie
