The biggest question of the night at the Congressional Recess Town Hall was, “What do we do?”
And in this email we’re going to direct you with some of that Nitty Gritty we talked about at the closing of the night.
Gloria Johnson mentioned the two House Seats that are open to be filled next month. We only have DAYS left to make this happen. But these last few days are the most important to keep the issue fresh on voters minds before they go to the polls on April 1st.
If we can INSPIRE enough Florida voters to get out and do their civic duty to save our democracy, we can literally yank Trump and Musk’s trifecta of power out from under them.
The courts are already pushing back against much of Trump’s illegal onslaught on our system of government. If we take the House, it puts the ball back in our court.
So how do we do that? We call voters.
This is the serious Nitty Gritty. But this is what WORKS.
Josh Weil and Gay Valimont of Florida will be having ongoing phone banks from now until the end of the month.
If you’ve never done one – they do an hour training when you first log in, and someone will be there to support you all through the process.
My first time phone banking was for Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock back in 2020, and the reward of seeing both candidates win AND the Democrats retaking the majority in the senate Senate was real!
Phone banks work… IF people are inspired enough to join them and PUT IN THE WORK.
More ‘What Can We Do’ emails will be coming, so stay alert!

And a huge thank you to everyone who showed up for the Town Hall last night. The turnout, the speakers, and the energy were amazing!
Indivisible’s power is in the number of our united voices. We need you to commit to adding your voice to not only ‘protests and demonstrations’, but the nitty gritty work of making phone calls, sending letters, and visiting your congresspeople when Indivisible puts out the call.
Now let’s get to work!
