DESCRIPTION:\nSolidarity, not charity.\nThe work doesn’t start nor end with No Kings.\nThis Sunday we are collecting specific requested household and food items to support immigrant families who are struggling right now due to the increased ICE presence in our city.\nWe are working directly with trusted immigrant community leaders who have identified specific needs of families and are taking the lead on distribution.\nOur past event was met with astounding participation and cooperation- nearly all of the supplies from the past event have been distributed to families. This time, we will be more prepared and organized.\nSo when you arrive, we will have bins labeled with each item from the needs list so people can ‘self sort’ as they drop off. Doing this one simple thing will save organizers and volunteers DAYS of work and so greatly simplify getting supplies transported, warehoused, and to the community.\nPlease see the attached image for the needs list.\nDrop-off location: Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church – lower lot\nTime: Sunday, 2 PM – 5 PM\nWe look forward to seeing you tomorrow… and THANK YOU!\n \n\n\n
