DESCRIPTION:ICE is getting ready to intensify actions here in Knoxville, and we want our City Council to know that we will not condone here what happened in Nashville two weeks ago.\n\n\nSome of our officials might be tempted to say, ”Our constituents don’t care about this.”\n\n\nWe beg to differ!\n\n\nOur City Council needs to know that our community stands behind our immigrant neighbors, and we want to embolden them to hold ICE accountable.\n\n\nAnd that’s where WE come in.\n\nOn June 10th @6pm, Indivisible is going to do what Indivisible does – SHOW UP!\n\n\nWe elected City Council and we need them to do the right thing.\n\n\nThe largest ‘signs’ we can bring is standard 8.5 x 11 paper, and no sticks or handles. But bring colorful and highly viewable shows of support! Let the City Council know Knoxville LOVES THEIR IMMIGRANT NEIGHBORS and does NOT support the flagrant abuse we have seen by ICE in so many other cities thus far.\n\n\nCity County BuildingMain Assembly Room400 Main StreetKnoxville, TN 37902\n\n\nWe would love to have so many of us show up that we are lined out into the hallway.
